Ciate Liquid Velvet Matte Lip Slick Swatches and Review

I can not believe Ciate-- originally a nail polish brand would make such an amazing makeup line! Well, actually I don't know about other products, but these are amazing!!

I found this mini lip trio by accident, I thought I'd give it a try. Oh boy, I'm pleased I made that purchase!

Ciate Liquid Velvet
Left to Right: Swoon--Pin up--Diva
This set contains 3 mini lip slicks, 2 of their best selling shades which are Swoon and Diva, 1 new exclusive shade which is Pin up.

The formula is matte opaque, long-wearing, ultra light-weight, rather hydrating due to the hyaluronic acid in the formula, it also did a great job of concealing my slightly flaky lips. The sponge applicator is fantastic, it dispenses the right amount of product to allow you achieve a full on look, the side of the applicator also pointy enough for you to draw a precise line, never need to worry your lip line looks messy!

top to bottom: Swoon--Pin up--Diva
Swoon is a peachy nude, looks slightly pale on my light-medium skin tone.
Pin up is a medium purple mauve, my favourite shade out of the 3. It would look gorgeous on every skin tone.
Diva is describled as true red, but it has a slightly pink under tone, a very vibrant rosy red!

Please excuse my skin, too much drink, too much meat, too little vegetables during Christmas period. Healthy diet is always the key to healthy skin.
That is all! Thank you for reading. Hope you enjoyed it.

KIKO Velvet Mat Lipsticks Swatches and Review

Official description:

The evolution of mat lipstick: an ultra-silky, virtually "weightless" texture that unveils unexpected moisturizing and soothing qualities in an opaque and infinitely velvety finish.
Light and comfortable, thanks to the exclusive high-melting waxes, Velvet Mat caresses your lips with impeccable high pigmentation colour for a high coverage effect.

Enriched with K2 Repulp, multi-function plant extract active ingredient, the Velvet Matformula keeps your lips beautiful, working on 3 different levels:

Moisturizing and plumping action*: KRepulp stimulates the production Hyaluronic acid, helping to keep the moisture level of the lips ideal, increasing their fullness.
Energizing and revitalizing action*: cellular vitality is reactivated giving your lips a strong healthy look.

Aging prevention*: thanks to its active ingredients,  production of collagen and Sirtuin 1 (protein of youth) improved cellular longevity is stimulated for younger looking lips.
It has 15 shades in total, you can buy them here,  has ultra silky and weightless texture, does not drag on the lips, does not emphasize any dry patches, in fact does a great job of concealing it, does not provide moisture, but doesn't really dry my lips either. Sounds familiar? Yes, the formular is almost identical to the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick range, but only 1/3 of the cost!
Here I have 608 which is described as apple red, it is the most accurate description! Not too bright, not too mature.
611 autumn pink which is a medium pinky mauve shade, it's slightly darker than my natural lip colour, it actually really reminds me of autumn, I would not be using this in summer as it does add that bit of "weight" to your makeup look.
614 dark berry which is a warm berry shade, pulls purple instead of red on the lips. It is such a gorgeous shade for winter!  I was using this shade in my profile picture.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette Swatches and Review

Needless to say how gorgeous is this palette!? I'm so late to the party. I have heard so many people rave about them but never actually bought any home, I always thought why would anyone wants to dust shimmery powder all over their face? OMG, how ridiculously wrong was I!?

I know a lot people complain about the size of the palette, think they are over priced, but I disagree, yes it contains much less product, yes it has a £65 high price tag, but if you want to try out their entire range and don't want to spend well over £100, this is the cheapest and prettiest option.  However, you probably can't fit your normal powder/blush brushes into this baby, I find the best brush to use is Wayne Goss 02 brush, or Sigma highlighter brush, you don't have to buy the exact same as me, but this should give you an idea of what size brush you have to prepare in order to use this palette.

It contains 3 powders which single full size retails for £38, or Ambient lighting palette retails for £56. 2 blushers which single full size retails for £28, 1 bronzer which single full size retails for £42.

Dim Light is a neutral peach beige shade with a subtle sheen, I use it to dust all over to set my makeup, on my NC30 skin-tone it blends perfectly, minimise my pores and imperfections.

Iridescent Light is a sheer illuminating highlighter, exclusive to this palette, it has a slight pinky undertone, but it's almost translucent on the skin, it is the prefect strobing highlighter! It's more like a combination of dim light and diffused light.

Diffused light is a pale yellow powder with a few micro shimmer in it, I like to use it on my under eye area, the centre of my forehead and my chin, it instantly brightens up my complexion without looking too obvious! But if you stand under bright sunlight, you'll definitely a few micro shimmer here and there on your face, but I still love it. I will definitely be picking up the full size, I CANNOT live without this baby already!! Yes! it's that good!

Next we have Bronze Light, very finely milled, a medium tan shade with a delicious looking sheen, good for light-medium skintone,  I don't reach for it very often, simply because I don't use bronzer much.

Luminous Flush is champagne rose, a soft warm rosy pink with a beautiful sheen, it blends into the skin like nothing was there, gives you a girly flush look.

Mood Exposure a muted medium pinky mauve,  again blends well into the skin, lasts almost all day!

Tom Ford Lip&Boys Swatches and Reviews

Sorry for the long absence, a lot has happened since last time I logged onto my blog, but I tried to stay active on my Instagram, if you are not following me, make sure you go check out my page, my user name: 5beauty6fashion

I have been waiting for the boys to return for good, I didn't get any last year, but the day they were released, I picked up 3 to try out, now I can say I'll definitely pick up more later on, I love the formula, love how well it wore through out the day, love the colour pay-off, love the packaging...I can go all day if I have to! LOL

Let's cut to the chase, I have Collin, Guillermo, Alex.

Front to back: Collin, Guillermo, Alex

Under Natural Light
Under Flashlight
Collin is the perfect MLBB shade for me, it's a warm pinky nude, it's so natural you can't tell I have lipstick on, it is so pretty, I'm obsessed, even when I go to the gym without any makeup on, I still can put this on without looking weird or obvious.

Guillermo, it's a deep dark brown with a hint of rusty undertone, it pulls more brown on lips, I love to pair it with a pink blusher, it's so unique and cool.

Alex is a blue toned bright fuchsia, it is so gorgeous, despite the fact I have medium olive skin tone, I still love wearing it, it is definitely THE pop colour in my lipsticks collection.
